Na noite de 25 de outubro de 2025, Thomas Bangalter, metade do lendário duo Daft Punk, surpreendeu o público ao subir aos decks pela primeira vez em 16 anos, para um B2B inédito com Fred again.. em Paris.
O encontro aconteceu durante o evento especial da Because Music, em comemoração aos 20 anos do selo, no Centro Pompidou. O momento foi revelado minutos antes por Fred again.. em seus stories, provocando euforia nas redes sociais.
O set contou com clássicos como “I Feel Love” (Donna Summer), “Flat Beat” (Mr. Oizo) e um edit exclusivo de Bangalter com faixas de Chromeo, DJ Mehdi e Stanton Warriors. Emocionado, Fred encerrou a apresentação dizendo:
“Foram as duas horas mais insanas da minha vida.”
A última performance pública de Bangalter havia sido em 2009, durante o aniversário de Busy P, ex-manager do Daft Punk e fundador da Ed Banger Records, que também participou do evento ao lado de Erol Alkan.
